Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Please keep us in prayer as we prepare for the upcoming work/medical team June 5-15.
- This week we are finalizing things here at the camp with getting all the work supplies in order and ready to go. We are aiming at painting the inside and the outside of the gymnasium, painting three murals on the inside, building 2 Foosball tables, and a ping-pong table too. Oh and making new curtains for the dining hall and i know there is something else but I can not recall it right now and I’m not going to stress out about that!
- The aim of the medical part of the team will be to treat 50 kids ages 0-6 and their families. This past Saturday we were able to bring in a lab from Guayaquil who did stool, urine and blood exams on 39 of the kids (which may be the very definition of anxiety “39 kids ages 0-6 getting blood work done in the same room”). The doctor will be able to do a complete medical exam for the little kids during the first three days of the team and there after we will treat as many of their family members as possible.
Our thought is to seek partnership with Compassion International in reaching Pallatanga with God’s love and they begin their programs with kids ages 0-6, which is the method in our madness! The partnership is not yet set in stone as we are still praying about it and meeting with them before either side makes a final decision.
Please also pray for the team this week as they are packing and preparing for their trip. Pray that God would use each team member to bring His love to some very needy people here, that all would know Him better. Pray also for Rebecca Pazmino, Lynn and Jorge Morgrovejo, Daisy Alvarado, and Maria Fernanda Morla who will be coming from several parts of Ecuador to help translate for the team.
We also ask for special pray for Erika Lapp. Erika has been living with us since the beginning of April and serving along side of our family in many ways. She will be working with us throughout the team and then leaving with the group on June 15th. Pray for her as she works with the team, ends her time here and us as we say good-bye to her. She has been a wonderful asset to our ministry but even more to our family and it will be very hard to see her off. Pray that God will make clear His path for her future.
You standing beside us in prayer is so very vital. Thank you for partnering with us in Pallatanga.
